Honorary Scholarship Competition

Students (of the first and second cycles, and integrated studies, starting from the third semester) wishing to participate in the Honorary Scholarship Competition shall submit the following documents to LSMU Student Representative Office (LSMU Studentų atstovybė) until April 17, 2020:

1. An application letter to participate in the Honorary Scholarship Contest (addressed to the Rector);

2. A certificate, indicating the grade point average (GPA), approved by the Dean or a person appointed by the Dean;

3. A free-form Curriculum Vitae;

4. Documents supporting active participation in student activity and/or the need for financial aid (students who have lost their parents (adoptive parents) or guardians, students with disabled parents (adoptive parents) or guardians, or students from large families);

5. Other documents supporting the achievements of a student (copies).

NOTE:

  1. The grade point average (GPA) shall be not lower than 8.
  2. The scholarship shall not be awarded to students who have already been awarded a scholarship from other funds in year 2019/2020.

The submitted documents shall be compiled into one document, saved in PDF format, the title of which must include the Name, Surname, Faculty (abbreviated) and course (year).

The meeting of the Honorary Scholarship Committee will take place in distance mode on April 22, 2020, at 1.00 p.m. (Lithuania time). Participation of applicants in the meeting of the Committee is obligatory.

The following scholarships will be awarded:

1. Lithuanian Science Support Dr. Juozas and Birutė Skrinskai Fund (for students of the Faculty of Medicine);

2. Vytenis Povilas Andriukaitis Scholarship (for students of the Faculty of Medicine);

3. Juozas Olekas Scholarship (for students of the Faculty of Medicine);

4. JSC “Gintarinė vaistinė” Scholarship (for the 4th and 5th year students of the Faculty of Pharmacy)

5. Veterinary Pharmacy Association Scholarship (for a student of the Veterinary Medicine study programme at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine).

Candidates for these honorary scholarships will be selected for the year 2020/2021 (the final decision will be made by the founders of the scholarships):

1. Scholarship of the President of the Republic of Lithuania, Kazys Grinius (for students enrolled in the degree programmes in the fields of life sciences, health sciences, veterinary sciences, agriculture sciences and sports). Note: the application must be accompanied by documents with information about the candidate’s study results of the last two semesters, evaluation of the candidate’s studies, scientific and/or artistic activities, indicating particularly good results of studies, scientific and/or artistic activities, student’s participation in competitions, expeditions, student research practice projects.

2. Scholarship of the President of the Republic of Lithuania Algirdas Brazauskas (for students of the social sciences group). Note: the application must be accompanied by documents with information about the candidate’s study results of the last two semesters, evaluation of the candidate’s studies, scientific and/or artistic activities, indicating particularly good results of studies, scientific and/or artistic activities, student’s participation in competitions, expeditions, student research practice projects.

3. Birutė Petrikas Scholarship (for students enrolled in bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes in the nursing field at the Faculty of Nursing, except for the final-year students). Note: the application must be accompanied by a completed scholarship founder’s form* with the requested information and annexes.

* Ask for a scholarship founder’s form at the Dean’s office of the Faculty of nursing.

4. Juozas Brundza Scholarship (for students of the Veterinary Medicine study programme). Note: the application must be accompanied by a completed scholarship founder’s form* with the requested information and annexes.
